ENTRY 16: THE HAG (Lisa Sherwood)

"The Hag specializes in creating a dangerous web of Phantasm Traps, to be triggered by unsuspecting Survivors. She can instantly teleport to a triggered Trap, striking the Survivor that sprung it. Lock down key areas, make rescues a deadly gamble, and end chases quickly with strategic Phantasm Trap placement."

LORE SUMMARY: Lisa was raised in an isolated village that practiced ancient magic. One night however she was kidnapped by a group of brutal cannibals who shackled, starved and tortured their victims. She endured so much longer than her fellow prisoners that she became gangrenous and emaciated enough to slip from her chains, and began scrawling the mystical symbols she'd been taught since childhood. No trace of her was ever found, but her captors would be found in many, many pieces.

  We're getting into the really really cool stuff at this point. Rage, pain and insatiable, maddening hunger transformed this innocent woman into a flesh-eating mummified witch, which ranks among the top rawest descriptions I've ever had the opportunity to type about anything. She's clearly modeled after a bog body, her blackened flesh withered tight against her bones and her woven hair soaked with mud. Animated corpses and meat eating ghouls of every sort are common enough that she might not stand out that much at a glance from countless other cadaverous horrors in pop culture, but I've never really seen this exact set of characteristics in one place before. She's a subtly original undead monster, which is all the more impressive an achievement in such a saturated genre.

  Lisa's power is a bit tricky to master, at least in my newbie experience, allowing her to detect and ambush survivors from a distance, and was considered an "S-tier" killer by the player base until some of her perks were apparently watered down, and newer survivor perks made her steadily easier to evade. BOOOOOO! You march right back into that code and un-nerf your hag this instant!!!!

BEST SKIN(S):

"SWAMP CREATURE:" Lisa has a lot of cool skins, but there are three we may as well focus on because they're just that outstanding. Swamp Creature turns her into an entire gorgeous fish person, as scaly head to toe as Universal's Gill-man and with an adorably piranha-like face.

"BLACK WIDOW:" This one retains most of the mummified human corpse look, but she also gets a bunch of spider-like eyes! Her cute grandma hair bun, bone ornamentation and grey-blue tinge all contribute to the look of some sort of spidery demon or yokai, but this is one you definitely need a close-up to appreciate, since it might not seem like all that big a difference from afar:

Most multi-eyed humanoids will keep the original eyes and simple add a bunch more, but there are no eyes in the spaces where they'd normally go! The new eyes encircle where her human eyes once were! I also appreciate that the largest eyes, the ones your mind is more likely to focus on, are the lowest pair level with her rotten nose hole. There's a really cute, wide-eyed Jumping Spider kind of impression you get from that.

"TOXIC ROOTS:" not merely the coolest hag skin, but maybe one of the coolest skins in the game?? This, too, demands a closer shot:

With Toxic Roots, Lisa becomes a bizarre, otherworldly humanoid plant! Her upper face is a luminous, translucent yellow bubble grown over with roots, her lower face mostly just a jaw with two little upturned fangs. The back of her "skull" flares into a huge, fleshy red flower, giving her a kind of botanical xenomorph vibe, and the rest of her body is intertwined with all sorts of plant or fungal growths including fly-trap=like maws and spiny rootlets, her underlying flesh eaten away in patterns of lotus-pod holes!
