ENTRY 05: THE TRICKSTER (Ji-Woon Hak)

"Armed with an arsenal of throwing knives, The Trickster overwhelms fleeing Survivors with a relentless barrage of blades. Seemingly safe actions like vaulting windows and dropping Pallets turn into target practice for this twisted K-Pop Idol, whose stylish showmanship is rivalled only by his gleeful bloodlust."

LORE SUMMARY: an idol who felt so bored of his own success and so sick of being adored wherever he went, he became a serial killer who records the sounds of his victims as he tortures them, then leaves their corpses in artistic arrangements for the police to find.

  Now that we've reviewed the four original killers, we're reviewing the rest in order of how interesting I'll be able to make the review. This doesn't necessarily overlap with how much I personally like them; some of the ones we're getting to soonest are still very cool and fun! Trickster, however, is definitely the least interesting to me. He feels like the most conventional and straightforward "serial murderer" of all the game's original killers, lacking a gimmick that really stands out in my memory. Like, that's it? A super twisted evil man who throws knives?

The mechanic itself is actually very fun, since he has 44 knives he can throw as rapidly you want him to, and can build to a powerup state where he gets to throw infinity knives, but his story, design and motif just don't grab me. He could have been anyone at all who throws knives.

BEST SKIN(S):

"MURDEROUS CAT:" I truly can't think of anything to say about any of trickster's cosmetic options. He does have a cat costume, but it feels inferior to the Wraith's in every way.
