This large, powerful amphibian vampire is capable of producing a high volume of adhesive, paralytic slime from its skin surface, cocooning prey in gelatinous sacs for later consumption. It feeds through the rippling, metallic cilia along its bony lips, employing its true mouth only for a massive defensive bite.

   A Salamire uses its flattened, armored head to quickly bury itself in mud, silt or detritus, and may swing it axe-like at attackers.
