Marshadow

Welp...this is it. The big eight-oh-two, the very, very, very, very, very, very, VERY LAST Pokemon in the dex at the time of this writing, and so brand new that it's still completely unavailable in Sun and Moon. It's the Alolan region's Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Victini or Hoopa, the cupie-doll legendary conceived especially to be the game's most exclusive virtual collector's item.

Marshadow is, at least, a little nastier than its siblings with a brand new ghost/fighting typing and a "craven, cowardly" personality according to the Pokedex, but as a design, I can't help seeing just a slightly less perfect Espurr, who really REALLY should have been a non-evolving final legendary itself no matter how much I appreciate the freaky streak of Meowstic.

Sorry, I don't mean to get off track or cynical here. We've just gone over so much in these reviews, almost without breaking from February 2016 to March 2017, that I'm not sure anything could have been grand enough to end on, or at least "hiatus" on. Chances are, we'll have a little more to review in the coming year or so when Sun and Moon's inevitable sequel rolls around, likely bringing with it at least a few more legendaries or alternate forms, but other than that, we won't have another full fledged generation to review until anywhere from 2019 to the year 2020!

Fortunately, we've still got the Sun and Moon wrap-up to do, and after that, there are certainly still Pokemon topics I can keep making some articles for!
