GELASTROCORA SAPIENS

CLASS: ARTHROPOID

Similar in many respects to the Exonaut, this Arthropoid is unable to endure the same aquatic conditions but is nonetheless densely armored, smaller, faster, capable of leaping and capable of striking farther with its claws and beak.

BASE ORGANISM: the Gelastrocoridae or "toad bugs" are closely related to the giant water bugs, but live a terrestrial existence on the shores of ponds and streams, where their warty, mottled bodies blend with the surrounding sand. They hunt by quickly pouncing upon passing insects.
