RAPTORDRAMON

ADULT: RAPTORDRAMON

A bunch of you asked why Raptordramon wasn't featured in yesterday's review of the Dorumon line, but in Raptordramon's actual debut appearance, it was an evolution of either Dorumon or the X-antibody version of Agumon, and it's not "thematically" based exactly on either of them.

Like our popular misunderstanding of velociraptor, Raptordramon is supposedly rather small, but possessed of exceptional deadliness that allows it to take down creatures far larger than itself.

The design is another that feels generic to me, and the color choices do not work well together. The bright yellow contrasts poorly with the blue and silver.

RATING:

PERFECT: GRADEMON

Raptordramon ends up evolving into a swordsman with big claws for toes, and I guess that's alright. In fact, of all the digimon to evolve into swordsmen for no reason, I guess it's a fun idea that a "raptor dragon" would do so. You get both the blade association and a dragon-to-knight thing. Sure! Okay! Still not quite something that grabs me.

RATING:

ULTIMATE: ALPHAMON

I know these have fans, but for me, if you've seen one knight-themed digimon you've kinda seen them all.
