FERN:

Sorry, I uh, really didn't plan any of that. I just sort of wound up with it and it turned out to be really handy. I probably shouldn't have it.

CATHY:

Well, she doesn't seem to feel that way. Her core is largely dormant, but the aroma tells me she's been quite content with this arrangement. You've fed her quite well.

FERN:

Oh. That's uh, nice to know and not creepy at all.

CATHY:

So glad we agree! These are strange layers indeed, many unexpected dangers slipping in from one zone or another. I'd stick together for now if I were you two, though I've just the juices to spare if you don't mind me sprucing the old gal up a bit!

FERN:

Huh?

Successful strike roll inflicts an automatic 3 additional damage.

HOMING VIBRATION:

Skip the strike roll entirely, always rolling for damage automatically.

SHIELDING SLASH:

Fern's "block" command will now deflect 50% of damage back to attacker.

TOXIC BARBS:

A successful hit will poison the opponent, causing an additional damage each turn. Effect stacks with each blow.
