A bizarre result of zombies attempting to breed, the development of a Zombie's embryo into a Zeelzebuz is triggered by the "royal jelly" of a carrion-eating social bee favoring zombies as nesting sites. Though it lacks a means of feeding itself, the Zeelzebuz is well nourished by the flesh-based honey of its symbionts. Confronted with danger, it stridulates with its tail against its ribs, rattling out a warning before unleashing its aggressive swarm. It will often bury itself in the corpse of a fallen aggressor, allowing the colony long term use of the decaying meat, often refreshing the supply with stubborn scavengers.
