This Ectosaur is nearly capable of sustaining its metabolism on electricity alone, reluctantly supplementing this "diet" with organic material as needed. It can store thousands of volts in specialized cells filling its hollow but tough bones, and can discharge excess energy to protect itself. Its innermost jaws are particularly conductive, and can release the monster's entire remaining charge in one deadly, short-range bolt under dire enough circumstances.
A jittering, hyperactive Ectosaur, the Zappergeist can dart several feet in an instant, though only in a straight line, and thus tends to locomote in a disorienting, staggering zig-zag. When communication is established, it often speaks and thinks too quickly to be intelligible.
Zappergeist slime smells extremely acidic, stings to the touch and emits a pale blue glow, but is oddly enough not conductive to electricity. If necessary, it may saturate allies in its slime to avoid harming them.
A Zappergeist is obviously drawn to sources of electrical energy, and feels compelled to tamper with any equipment it may find. It enjoys toying with others as it causes extreme power fluctuations, alternating between total blackouts and explosive surges of energy, and may attempt to send cryptic messages through electronic devices.
A Zappergeist tends to get along well with the similarly electrical Snappergeist, its lighter but faster form complementing the slow, powerful ambush predator.
ZIP: the monster can dart several feet in an instant.
