WORMROOT - The Zombie Tree

CLASS: ZOMBIE MUTATION

Essentially a zombie that has reconstituted itself through the tree that took root in its remains, young Wormroots make excellent agents for the experienced zombie master but must be trimmed regularly if mobility is desired. Otherwise, they grow until their own weight forces them to take permanent root. The jaws of a stationary wormroot eventually migrate down the trunk until buried while the root system spreads out in a sensitive web that "sucks" prey underground and into the mouth. With all of its eyes closed, it is almost indistinguishable from a normal tree - but suffers from maggots and carrion beetles rather than termites or other plant pests.
