VERMPIRIC

CLASS: ARTHROPOID

The fusion of a human and Hippoboscid or louse-fly. Running, walking and leaping only sideways, this acrobatic bloodsucker disorients prey with a dizzying subsonic vibration before it pounces, digging into flesh with its many hooked talons and needle-like hairs before injecting its anaesthetic, anticoagulating saliva.

Vermpiric crave the blood of bats above all else, and may dangle themselves just outside bat roosts as the sun sets, limbs outstretched. The blood of vampiric monsters and especially Sinister affect them as a concentrated stimulant, numbing them to pain and whipping them into a violent frenzy.
