Nearly as old as the Bombadire, this military monster can generate enormous amounts of heat within its bag-like body, capable of roasting organic tissues by proximity or spouting gouts of flame from its tubular digits. Extremely lightweight, it can even use controlled blasts to maneuver through air. Besides obvious offensive applications, its abilities can make a highly effective portable energy source or heating unit, and its temperature-resistant body is ideal for work in harsh environments.

   Smoldron show respect and subservience with a flame-puffing, cross-armed salute, but will invariably turn to give a greater salute to the sun, if visible. Conversely, they avoid ever directly facing the moon.
