The fusion of a human with a horsefly. The massive eyes of this fidgety, energetic insectoid are an ever-changing rainbow of blindingly bright colors that prey can find difficult to turn away from, making it much easier for the monster to strike. Powerful anesthetics in the Scabite's saliva slow cognition and completely numb all physical sensation for hours with a single bite, rendering victims sluggish, clumsy and oblivious to pain even as the monster tears open their flesh and gorges on blood.
Though unable to swim, Scabite are attracted to large bodies of water and especially enjoy hunting along beaches.
