Q-LEX (FEMALE)

CLASS: ARTHROPOID

The fusion of a human with a mosquito, Q-lex display an extreme form of sexual dimorphism; while the female is a large and powerful predator, the male is a tiny, helpless parasite that clings to the abdomen of its mate, feeding on excess blood and continuously fertilizing her eggs.

The female Q-lex tracks warm-blooded prey by their bodily odors and attacks with flexible, coiled lips, lined with teeth that are regularly shed and replaced throughout her lifespan. These vicious mouth behave like a twisting jackhammer to bore through prey and slurp up sustenance.

Q-lex are attracted to electric lights, but peck at them until they break, which never ceases to surprise them.
