The enlarged "posterior" of this perplexing hominoid houses a much larger brain independent from its infantile "true" head, controlling locomotion and fiercely protecting the frailer body. Either end may feed or excrete, and will often consume what the other expels, building up and refining toxic fumes in a series of specialized bladders. Mixing its gases internally, it can belch(?) forth anything from a nerve toxin to a powerful herbicide.

   A Pugnoxious appears highly irritated by its uncomfortable buildup of gases but seems to prefer living in this agitated state.
