Spending most of its life standing in a single place atop its modified fins, this pale creature emits a haunting cry that intelligent beings find difficult not to follow, even when aware of its origin. It will move from its rigid stance only to feed periodically on the hosts that accumulate beneath it, gradually building up a mountain of withered corpses. They favor lagoons and grottos, where they can attract prey of both land and water.
