In a zombie's constant cycle of decay and regeneration, certain errors are bound to happen. Sometimes, a regenerated organ develops a sentience all its own, and evolves into a monster known as a homonculus. Most homonculi are poorly suited to survive outside a zombie's body, but some are inherently more adaptable than others.

   With its powerful corrosive enzymes and tough, rubbery body, a renegade digestive tract can easily survive long enough to evolve into a Gastriking, the largest of the Homonculi. Totally blind, it navigates by vibration and smell, loudly sniffing through its prehensile esophagus. It can spew its acid several yards from each end of its body, but requires a high volume of food to produce the fluid and will attempt to re-ingest as much as possible. Its body is prone to infestation by parasitic worms, but they quickly mutate into symbiotes that aid in consumption of food.

The Gastriking is exceptionally fond of ice cream.
