Genetically engineered from a combination of fungal and animal tissues, this dim-witted creature makes a surprisingly devastating control mechanism against zombie infestation. Excited by the presence of decaying flesh, its body begins to swell and eventually ruptures with slimy black spores, infesting dead and undead alike with flesh-boring tendrils of fungus. A single new Funguslyme will develop in what was the brain of each infected body.

   Until they mature and ripen, funguslyme subsist off insects attracted to the foul-smelling, sticking lining of their basket-like heads. They also have a curious appetite for frog eggs.
