Genetically engineered from a combination of fungal and animal tissues, this squat, waddling and dim-witted creature makes a surprisingly devastating control mechanism against zombie infestation. Excited by the presence of decaying flesh, its body begins to swell and eventually ruptures, splattering its surroundings with a quivering, reddish-brown jelly that rapidly multiplies as it breaks down flesh. Dead and undead alike are converted almost instantly into glistening piles of ooze, each of which will harden into a large, leathery pod and eventually germinate a single young Funguslyme.

   Until they mature and ripen, funguslyme feed on a wide variety of organic materials with a curious fondness for the eggs of frogs and toads.
