This mad creation contains only a curious bundle of nerves in its hollow skull, but boasts great intelligence and a powerful sense of sight that also functions as its feeding mechanism. Heat, light, electricity, psychic waves and free-floating particles of every sort are sucked into its pupils by a strong gravitational pull and converted into a new form of energy that sustains the monster's body. It usually maintains between six and sixteen eyeballs at any given time, but the number instantaneously climbs in the midst of heavy feeding with excess eyes eventually being re-absorbed.

   When threatened, the Eyedra can release stored energy from its pupils in concentrated beams that burn, freeze, slice or even rejuvenate organic matter as the creature desires. Eyeballs employed in this process, however, will instantly wither and drop away. An Eyedra that loses every eyeball and runs out of power is rendered immobile, but will slowly absorb energy through its hollow sockets until it can generate its first new pair of eyes.

An Eyedra cannot speak, but produces sounds oddly similar to those of chickens.
