ESCARGHOUL - The Gravesnail

CLASS: ZOMBIE SPAWN

Developing parasitically in the bodies of normal zombies, these largely boneless undead have a highly adhesive, putty-like flesh which can bond instantly to the tissues of potential prey, allowing the monster ample time to gnaw through the victim's belly or other vulnerable areas.

Though sluggish and dim-witted, it can withstand far more abuse than the average humanoid zombie and traverse a wider range of terrain; even conquering the dreaded staircase. It adopts the first hard, heavy object it encounters as a "shell", with a particular preference for flattened slabs of stone, though any sturdy object will suffice.
