Physically the frailest of the devil birds, this honking, waddling mutant spends its existence seeking out a larger, stronger and healthier creature to trade minds with through its gaze. Once in the body of the devil bird, the victim begins to lose its original personality and memories until it becomes a perfect duplicate of the creature's original mind, dimly aware of its former existence and intent on taking over another life. Meanwhile, the consciousness of the envy enjoys its new body in a perpetual state of child-like wonderment and curiosity, as though awakened to the world for the first time. It will age rapidly (regardless of its new body's natural lifespan) and eventually disintegrate.

An Envy's eyes are constantly changing color and emit a low buzzing sound that induces headaches. During mental transfer, its eyes flash only green.
