BUFFUME - The Gasbag Joker

CLASS: JOKER

Varying greatly in size and color, these common Jokers float through the air via numerous chemicals produced within their rubbery craniums, many of which have a dangerous effect on other creatures. Some Buffume generate powerful sedatives, others produce toxins that induce uncontrollable giggling or muscle spasms. Their distinct chemical defenses typically correlate to their skin colors, with dozens of varieties documented. They are capable of budding off from almost any Joker subspecies, including fellow Buffume.

Buffume make an exaggerated belching sound as they vent their toxins, which they seem to regard as a source of pride and may become noisily competitive in groups. On rare occasions, they may violently explode.
