Another monster once created as a weapon of war, the Blightshade sprays a foul-smelling brown dust from its hollow antlers that grows rapidly and painfully into a pulsating black cauliflour-like fungus when it contacts skin. Those stricken with the painful blight become uncontrollably attracted to uninfected flesh, rapidly spreading the parasitic fungus that eventually reduces the body to mush. Though the fungus is easily curable and the damage just as easily reversed, it makes an immediately debilitating weapon and keeps the shy and sluggish Blightshade a widely-loathed monster.

Blightshade use their long tongues to continuously taste the air, and feed by snorting fungus-ridden flesh into their nasal tubes. They make an organ-like sound as they blow spores from their antlers.
