CLASS: ARTHROPOID



   These small scavengers are uninterested in any activity other than feeding on dry corpse remains such as fur, leather and bone, making a nuisance of themselves in such locations as taxidermy zoos, skull libraries and skin carnivals.

BASE ORGANISM: Dermestid or hide beetles are a cosmopolitan group of Coleoptera adapted to fed on the dry remains of dead animals, even feeding on the remains of other insects. They can become a major pest of carpet fibers and museum specimens, though they are also used to professionally clean bones in preparation for display.
