Monsters and villains from your creepiest dreams!THE TREE
This is an overall fascinating creature design on its own, highly alien but with the vibe of something that probably formed here on our own world from our own plant life. The fact that it smokes a cigar, though, is just one little perfectly out-of-place detail to turn a merely cool monster into both a cool and adorable monster. Where did it get those??
MR. OOGLE
I believe this is our final Mr. Oogle of the year, and diverges the most from previous interpretations without really diverging so much from the dream itself. He has a whole different feel with two spindlier arms and such glassier, fishier eyes, kinda reminding me of those floppy rubber finger puppet monsters I always loved so much...but still damn scary to imagine lying huge and still in the dark, whispering.
TITHE, BANKER OF DEATH
Bobipineman drew this take on Omny's Tithe before seeing Omny's own illustration, and still came up with a startlingly accurate if adorably larger-headed creature. I feel like Tithe would deserve a pretty important role in whatever hypothetical universe might weave all these dreams together, but how it would tie into an "afterlife" is tough to say. Maybe an afterlife is actually only accessible through dreams?
THE WATCHERS, THE PRINCESS AND HER DOG.
This is a pretty amazing trio of creatures, I have to say. Despite having virtually nothing in common with one another, they still feel like they fit together in a seamless theme, and while I can easily see them in an actual Dark Souls game, they just as easily stand all on their own. I'd love to know what other minions, pets and associates a princess like this might have...and I love that big eye on the "dog" that just rolls around into a mouth!
We actually have at least four more monsters from this artist, but we're going to split them off into their own page - and coming up next, another batch finally illustrated myself! (.....Not as good as this one)
