(Begin log)

Subject CON-0002: I barely did anything to him. You got to tell them. I didn’t do anything. Can I wash this blood off now?

Dr L: Just tell me what happened. You’ll be out of here before you know it.

Subject CON-0002: Then could I at least get something to eat?

Dr L: All in good time. Tell me what happened.

Subject CON-0002: I was just on my way home. I’d been out…God, it was only a few hours ago. And I see this bloke on the ground. At first, I think he’s, you know, a homeless. He was sort of shaking, breathing all funny. And I’m about to go up to him, ask if he’s okay, then I think better not. Then he comes at me. He’s screaming.

Dr L: Screaming anything in particular?

Subject CON-0002: No. Didn’t sound like words, really. Like I say, he jumps up, swinging around like he’s out of his cake, gets in my face. So I give him a push. Barely nothing, just a push, get him to get away from me.

Dr L: And then?

Subject CON-0002: His head falls off.

(There follows twenty seconds of silence)

Dr L: Well, that’s impossible.

Subject CON-0002: That’s just what I said. But there it was in front of me. Blood everywhere.

Dr L: What did you do then?

Subject CON-0002: Spewed. Like I’d ate something – like I’d ate the head. I was soaked, I didn’t know what was going on. I might have blacked out. Next thing I know it’s all covered in flies, getting at the meat they were. I can still see them eating at it, inside my head.

Dr L: And then?

Subject CON-0002: Oh God, I can still see it. Anyway I must have been screaming. I woke the neighbours. They start screaming too, then before I know it the police are there. God, it’s like my head’s going to split open, can I please get some food now?

Dr L: You can confirm his story from here, Constable D█████?

Constable D█████: Yeah. This is pretty much what he said before.

Subject CON-0002: I didn’t kill him, alright? He just died when I pushed him.

Dr L: What is the official situation on this?

Constable D█████: It’s up in the air, really. We have him on suspicion but we know nothing until you take a look at the body.

Subject CON-0002: I didn’t kill him! There was something wrong inside him! I didn’t kill him! I’m just hungry, alright, I need something to eat, I want a sandwich! If I’d killed him, I’d kill you too!

(Distortion)

Constable D█████: Calm down, there!

(Further distortion)

(Subject CON-0002 audibly weeps)

Subject CON-0002: It won’t stop!

Dr L: Mr J████, I’m going to recommend that you stay in overnight for examination. We’ll get you something for the headache, and a sandwich.

Subject CON-0002: Sorry, doctor, I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
