Bogleech.com's 2015 Horror Write-off:

" The Beast "

Submitted by ProphetStorm

The thing had chased him for years---an eternity, it seemed. Several times he thought he was a goner, but it wouldn't claim him--just toy with him for a moment, then let him go. Its leering, glowing eyes--one more for each year it chased him--flickered and blinked in the wind as it ran. Try as he might, he couldn't widen the gap, couldn't get away. And that jeering chorus of ghostly voices whenever it caught him chilled him to the bone, each bout with the beast leaving him cramped and limping, sore all over, more and more tired each time. The thing was upon him. It leapt into the air, and fell upon him. The flickering eyes cast a fiery glow across his face as he felt the heat of the beast's breath. And the lights came on, and the chorus began.

"For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow..."
